Central Government To determine the extent of the act and to make rules to give effect to the Act, and to fix the minimum rate of wages To give directions to the Government of any State as to the execution in the State of the provisions contained in this Act
State Government To make rules to give effect to the Act in the State and to implement the act in the State To make rules in the state for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this act

Certifying surgeons To examine and certify motor transport workers and carry out medical supervision where adolescents are employed as motor transport workers in any motor transport undertaking which is likely to cause injury to their health.; Examination & certification of workers & medical supervision.
