Description The state has announced a paid holiday for the Gram Panchayat elections. To enable employees to cast their vote, the state has mandated that: i. workers must be given paid holiday even if they are working outside the constituency where elections are held; ii. applicability extends to shops and establishments, hotels, restaurants, trade, industrial enterprises, other establishments; iii. no need to close shops/establishments/ companies
