Section:Sch I 13 :Termination Of Employment
Obligation : To provide notice in writing or pay in lieu of notice to permanent workmen before terminating their employment

Action to be taken:
In case of intention to terminate employment of a workman, give him notice in writing of one month for monthly rated workmen and two weeks for other workmen, or pay wages in lieu of such notice. All dues to the workman should be paid within 2 working days after date of termination. No notice or pay in lieu is required for temporary, probationer or badli workmen but their services may not be terminated as punishment without giving them opportunity to show cause
Audit Requirement: Have all terminations of employment been carried out in accordance with the standing orders ?
Supporting Documents: Details of all terminations, notice paid, and disciplinary reasons if any
