Section:54 :Daily Hours

Obligation : No adult worker should be allowed/required to work in a factory > 9 hours in any day

Action to be taken:
Ensure that no adult worker is allowed to work in a factory for more than nine hours in any day. The daily maximum hours may be exceeded only with the previous approval of the Chief Inspector, in order to facilitate the change of shifts.

Audit Requirement:
Have all adult workers worked for less than 9 hours a day on each working day ?
