Section:25-H :Re-Employment Of Retrenched Workmen

Obligation : To give Retrenched Workmen, first preference, in case the employer intends to employ additional workmen after retrenchment

Type:Trigger Frequency: Quarterly

Action to be taken:
After workmen are retrenched, where the employer proposes to take any people into his employ, all the retrenched workmen who are Indian citizens shall be given an opportunity to present themselves for re-employment, and shall have preference over other people

Where any workmen are retrenched and the employer proposes to take into his employ any persons, he shall, in such manner as may be prescribed, give an opportunity (to the retrenched workmen who are citizens of India to offer themselves for re-employment, and such retrenched workmen) who offer themselves for re-employment shall have preference over other persons.
