Offences & Penalties

Section Offence Penalty
22 Obstructing an inspector in the discharge of his duties or willfully neglecting to afford the inspector reasonable facility or willfully refusing to provide any document in regard to this Act to the inspector, on demand. 3 month imprisonment and/or fine of Rs.500.
23 Contravention of any of the provisions of the act or rules, or contravention of any condition of a licence 3 month imprisonment and/or fine of Rs.1000 & additional fine of Rs. 100 per day for continuing contravention.
24 Contavention of any of the provisions of this Act or of any rules made thereunder for which no other penalty is elsewhere provided Imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both
