    • OFFENCES

    Section Offence Penalty
    33 (1) Obstructing an inspector in the discharge of his duties or refusing/willfully neglecting to afford reasonable facility for making any inspection, examination or inquiry or refusing to produce registers and documents Imprisonment upto 3 months and / or fine upto Rs. 500.
    33 (2) Refusal to produce register on demand by an Inspector Imprisonment upto 3 months and / or fine upto Rs. 500.
    34 Using false certificate of fitness by workmen. Imprisonment upto 1 months and / or fine upto Rs. 50.
    35 Contravening any provisions of the Act or of any rules made thereunder, prohibiting, restricting or regulating the employment of persons in a plantation Imprisonment upto 3 months and / or fine upto Rs. 500.
    36 Contravening any provisions of the Act for which no other penalty is elsewhere provided. Imprisonment upto 3 months and / or fine upto Rs. 500.
    37 Having been convicted of any offence punishable under this Act is again guilty of an offence involving a contravention of the same provision Imprisonment upto 6 months and / or fine upto Rs. 1000.
