The Government of Tripura has announced bye-elections to the Legislative Assembly and the Honble Governor, Tripura is pleased to announce that all Govt. Officers and Magistrates Courts and Educational Institutions and Financial Institutions and all other establishments falling within the jurisdiction of all Assembly Constituencies in Tripura will remain closed on 16th February 2023 (Thursday) so that voters can exercise their right to vote.
Employees who are registered voters in the jurisdiction of any of the above constituencies but posted outside their constituencies will be allowed to avail special casual leave for casting vote. Similarly, casual/daily wage workers working outside the said assembly constituencies will be entitled to the benefit of paid leave on February 16, 2023, under Section 135B (1) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. |

The Central Government published the draft Model Standing Orders for the Manufacturing, Mining and Service Sector under sub-section (I) of Section 29 read with Schedule I of the Industrial Relations Code, 2020.
A separate Model Standing Orders for the Service Sector has been Introduced and published for the first time.
The major changes are inclusion of fixed term contract, Concept of Work from Home and any worker is found guilty of any misconduct for three or more be considered habitual etc.

The government of Goa has extended the central to the state, whereby Schedule 1 substitutes the term fixed term workmen in the apparel manufacturing sector to fixed-term employment. Another amendment made incorporates provisions of Rule 3(A), where employers of industrial establishments cannot convert permanent workmen to fixed term employment workmen. It has also included fixed term workmen and mandated conditions and facilities including wages, allowances, hours of work and other benefits, which are to be at par with those for permanent workmen. |
