OFFENCES

Section Offence Penalty
10 (1) Omitting or failing to
(a) maintain any register or other document,
(b) produce any register, muster-roll or other document,
(c) give any evidence or preventing any other person in charge of the establishment, or any worker, from giving evidence
Imprisonment upto 1 month and / or fine upto Rs. 10000.
10 (2) Making any recruitment in contravention of the provisions of this Act, or making any payment of remuneration at unequal rates to men and women workers or making any discrimination between men and women workers for the same work or work of a similar nature Imprisonment upto 1 years but not less than 3 months and / or fine upto Rs. 20000 but not less than Rs. 10000.
10 (2) Omitting or failing to carry out any direction made by the appropriate Government under sub-section (5) of Section 6. Imprisonment upto 1 years but not less than 3 months and / or fine upto Rs. 20000 but not less than Rs. 10000.
10 (3) Omitting or refusing to produce to an Inspector any register or other document or to give any information Fine of Rs. 500
