Authority Duties Powers
Regional Board To review the workings of the scheme, make recommendations for changes and to advise the corporation
Local Committee To Assist the Regional Board in carrying out certain specific duties, to discuss local problems with the Scheme and to advise the Corporation or Regional Board. To refer complaints to the Regional Board or the State Government
Insurance Medical Officer Examine insured persons & issue medical certificates. Examine the body of an insured person dying by employment injury and issuing a death certificate
Medical Board To examine disabled people referred by a regional office and determine medical benefits
Appeal Tribunal Adjudication of disputes & claims between insured person & Corporation / Medical Council / Officer.
Inspector To enforce the provisions of the Scheme For the purpose of ascertaining compliance with the Act, inspectors can (a) require furnishing of information (b) enter any office/establishment/factory at a reasonable time and examine documents (c) Examine any employee or official (d) Make copies
Local Office/Regional Office To act as a subordinate office of the corporation and carry out duties as assigned to in in its jurisdiction, To issue claim forms, process payments of benefits
