Special Officer | To survey, level or measure mines | On written authorisation from the Chief Inspector or an inspector, to enter a mine for the purpose of surveying, levelling or measuring any mine or any output, after giving not less than 3 days notice |
Certifying Surgeons | To carry out duties with regard to people engaged in dangerous occupations or processes in mines, and the exercise of medical supervision in mines where illnesses are known to be caused due to working conditions | To authorise any qualified medical practitioner to carry out duties |
