Authority Duties Powers
Central Government To determine the extent of the act and to make rules to give effect to the Act To make rules with regard to Licensing and prescribing safety standards for dangerous machines. To give directions to the State Government with regard to implementation of the Act, or any rules or orders
State Government. To make rules to give effect to the Act in the State To make rules as detailed in Section 37, and to appoint Controllers and Inspectors
Controller. To carry out the provisions of the Act To issue orders for carrying out the provisions of the act, To issue, suspend and cancel licenses, to register dangerous machines and to delegate his powers to any officer lower in rank.
Inspectors. To implement and enforce the provisions of the Act Inspect, search and seize dangerous machines, and examination of records of manufacturers, dealers and users relating to such machines.
