OFFENCES

Section Offence Penalty
31 Committing A Second Offence Imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than three months and fine which shall not be less than Five hundred rupees but not more than One thousand rupees.;
31(a) Manufacturing, or carrying on business as a manufacturer or dealer of, any dangerous machine without being in possession of a valid licence issued or renewed under this Act Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
31(b) Employing a child in the operation of any dangerous machine Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
31(c) To cause any person to operate a dangerous machine which does not conform to the standards specified by or under this Act Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
31(d) To cause any person to operate any dangerous machine referred to in Section 21, without carrying out the prescribed modifications; Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
31(e) To omit to take out or renew an insurance policy as required by Section 24 Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
31(f) To sell or otherwise transfer any dangerous machine which does not conform to the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
31(g) To operate or cause any person to operate any dangerous machine during the period of operation of prohibitory order made under sub-section (2) of Section 26 Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
31(h) Contravening any Section of the Act or any rules made under the act, which is not specified in Section 31 Punishable with imprisonment upto six months and/or fine upto Rs.1000.
